CARBON DYNAMIC AIRBOX

CDA filtering system is composed of a cylindrical carbon air box containing a washable filtering element. Substituting the original air box with our CDA, cold air is directly channelled through an internal airflow deflector to the filter and drawn into the engine with a very small pressure drop (patented system). The CDA system also includes a black alloy ducting (60 cm length) for connecting the system to an air intake on the front of the car. The system is available in two different dimensions: we advise Type 1 for engines up to 1,600 cc; Type 2 for bigger displacements. Every type is also available in different diameters on engine side for connections. Dyno and Datron Laser tests demonstrate the great performance of CDA filtering system.

CDA EVO 2
CDA filtering system, now available in the second step EVO 2, is connected to an air intake in the front of the car through a black alloy ducting. Thanks to the dynamic air intake you have a true supercharging system that conveys cold air at a speed and capacity much bigger than with traditional systems. The airflow entering through the dynamic intake is still further accelerated due to the conical flow variator inside the carbon dynamic air box. Finally, dynamic over boosting, greater airflow, higher pressure and colder air are the elements assuring a considerable increase in engine performance in power and torque. Thus demonstrated by several tests on a Dyno. CDA EVO2 WING, available in 2 dimensions, can be fitted on every kind of car.

PERFORMANCE
BMC air filters are designed and produced to ensure a higher air flow than original paper filters. In F1, for example, BMC cotton filters minimize the loss of air flow pressure passing through the air filter; this way ensures the best conditions for full exploitation of maximum power. Therefore the benefits of replacing the original paper filter with BMC cotton air filter, produced using the same technology and materials as the F1 air filters, are evident.

DESIGN AND MATERIALS
Qualified engineers using advanced software and expert technicians using the latest technologies produce BMC air filters. An F1 filter must be very light, must be made of the best raw materials and must improve performance. For this reason we use only alloy mesh with epoxy coating to ensure protection from petrol fumes and from oxidization due to the humidity of the air. The filtering material is composed of a special cotton gauze soaked with low-viscosity oil to give you the best air permeability.

ADVANCED TECHNOLOGY
BMC technical staff has developed a particular production system based on soft rubber moulding which produces the familiar BMC red filters. They are made in one single piece with no welded joints in the corners, thus avoiding breaking risks. This system, called "Full Moulding" comes from R&D in F1 and it is significant of BMC air filters' technical and quality specifics.

 

 

 

These items are made using OEM front spoiler grilles, with two aluminium circular intake vents securely bonded into them.

Can be added as merely a styling upgrade or as functional cold air feed for brakes or intake system using seperately supplied ducting and clamps.

These top of the range "High-End Intake Systems" is made without compromise to maximize the overall performance of air intake systems as one complete unit. Conical air filter, placed within the inner and outer of center cone, controls air turbulences that in turn forces the speed of airflow to accelerate. Each carbon intake is custom made specially to meet the specification of the individual car .Other mechanisms within the systems, such as heat insulation and air-cooling, are also carefully designed to work in synergy to produce the superlative performance of the whole unit.

The system isolates the engine heat, delivering cool air to the filter, and performs the function of an air chamber, giving priority to intake efficiency The shape is specially designed for each model, taking into consideration the engine characteristics and the character of the vehicle.

In order to achieve even better air-intake rectification, centre cones have been installed in the filter tops and inners.

The filter has multiple layers of natural cotton, strengthened using stainless steel mesh. It is a wet type using special oil. It is accordion-shaped, maintaining an enlarged air-intake area with control of any deformation due to the negative pressure. With a grid structure, the filter rectifies the air-intake while filtering.

Originally designed for the E92 335i, these scoops will fit all other 6 cyl petrol E90/92 models, and the M3 with little or no modification.

Your 335 i ' s main source of air is a 2.5" opening behind the front center grill. The problem is that the openings are sideways. Head on airflow will find its way to the radiator and oil cooler while the engine tries to pull in its share of air that is passing by.

Our ram air scoops capture and channels air directly into the factory intake ducting. This encourages pressurization of the intake boxes with cool and dense air. Our complete system has a proven advantage in that the source of air is completely from the outside. Induction type systems suffer from extreme under hood temperatures which results in a loss of power. Heat shielding around induction filters are only good for blocking radiant heat but does not seal the intake filters off from under hood heat.

Comes equipped with large plenum to distribute air evenly to both turbos. Through the 4” intake piping, your N54 will be getting all the air it needs.

Also included is the Riss Racing modified front intake snorkel that will funnel air directly and forcibly to the air filter.

Typical power gain 15rwhp and 20rw ft/lbs torque.
