ALLOY BRAKE COOLING BACKING PLATE & FOG LIGHT REPLACEMENT DUCT KIT

Description
Brake cooling ducts are a common practice in motor sport. Severe braking conditions create a tremendous amount of heat at the brake pad, rotors, calipers, and wheel bearing hubs. Under normal driving conditions this heat dissipates during the non braking cool down period.

On the track or hard road use the braking is much more severe and the cool down times are much shorter. As the braking temperature increases, brake component service life is decreased dramatically. A standard set of brake pads and rotors can wear out completely during one weekend of track driving. This is due to the material failure of both the pads and rotors at extreme temperatures. Forcing air directly at the core of the brake rotor, which then passes through the rotor vents, will increase the life of the brake components. The cooling ducts direct the air to the center of the bearing hub and brake rotor. The air is then expelled through the ventilation slots in the center of the rotors.

The backing plates in this kit mount behind the brake discs and are connected via ducting to air ducts mounted at the front of the car, thereby "force feeding" air to the center of the discs to vastly improve heat dissipation and thus help prevent brake fade.

Kit includes:
- 2x Backing Plates
- 2x Brake Air Inlet Ducts
- Ducting Hose
- Mounting Hardware

Description
Originally designed for race use but just as suitable for street vehicle use, these plates attach to the front wheel hubs (behind the disc), allowing forced air cooling of the brakes from air ducts and hosing from the front spoiler.

The wind chilled air is channelled forcibly to the centre of the disc where it is then forced through and out of the radial ventilation vanes within the disc ,due to centripetal force, thus cooling the disc and improving braking performance.

Made from carbon fibre with special heat resistant resin and foil, resistant to about 1050 Degrees Celsius.

Can also be modified to fit most vehicles or custom made to your own specifications and.

Includes 2 x plates and 3 metres of reinforced air ducting.
