Suspension and Braking systems
StopTech has recently announced the ST-60, a six-piston, squeeze-forged calliper for premium luxury, performance and competition vehicles. Certain to be prized by the race engineer, discriminating performance enthusiast and aficionado of automotive excellence, this calliper offers the best performance available from a six-piston calliper upgrade.

Whereas competitors may provide high-tech products to race teams and less-expensive products to their street users, customers purchasing a StopTech Balanced Brake Upgrade® will receive the exact same ST-60 calliper design that has been tested for two seasons in punishing SPEED World Challenge GT-class competition on the #28 LG Motorsports Chevrolet Corvette and contributed to the car’s two race victories during 2005.

Attractive Styling
The ST-60 calliper's longer body fills the space in larger wheels and looks great when paired with larger-diameter brake discs. Side contours clearly show the six-piston design, while the tapered ends and enclosed cross bolt features provide a sleek, smooth appearance and a shape that is easy to keep clean.

Patented Technology
The ST-60 uses StopTech’s patented bolt-in bridge technology, which reinforces the calliper and virtually eliminates distortion, helping make the ST-60 significantly stiffer than any competitive six-piston calliper benchmarked to date. The bolt-in bridge allows changing pads without disturbing the calliper's mounting and provides slots to enhance cooling airflow through StopTech’s patented AeroRotor®. A feature at each corner of the calliper protects bleed screws and crossover tubes from damage by foreign debris or carelessness during wheel removal and installation.

Correctly Engineered Applications
A wide range of piston sizes allows StopTech’s engineering staff to tailor the ST-60’s force output to the specific requirements of each Balanced Brake Upgrade application. Engineering the correct distribution of brake torque between the front and rear axle of a vehicle provides the shortest braking distances, a result that has been shown time after time as StopTech-equipped vehicles have outperformed competitors in magazine tests and racing. Furthermore, correct calliper piston sizing ensures a firm brake pedal feel. Combined with the stiffness of StopTech’s calliper designs, braking response is consistent and linear, giving drivers ultimate confidence.

Quality Manufacturing Processes
StopTech's ST-60 calliper is manufactured using a squeeze-forging process in which pressure is applied during cooling, producing beautifully finished, high-density calliper bodies without porosity. All finish machining, assembly and testing is performed at StopTech’s facility in California, and every finished calliper is tested to 2500 psi.

Versatility
The StopTech ST-60 calliper can be used on rotors ranging from 328mm (12.9 in.) to 380mm (15.0 in.) in diameter and from 28mm to 35mm thick. The ST-60 uses a standard pad shape, which is readily available in more than 15 street performance and race friction compounds. The larger pad volume compared to StopTech’s ST-40 calliper provides greater brake pad life, whether in endurance racing or paired with today’s heavy luxury vehicles in street use. Differential piston sizes minimize pad taper for longer pad life and a firmer pedal feel, while dust boots are standard for reduced maintenance in street applications. Titanium backing plates are available for extreme applications to reduce heat transfer by radiation and conduction from the brake pad to the pistons and calliper body.

Balanced Brake Upgrade Kits
Balanced Brake Upgrade kits include two piece floating, directional AeroRotors with 7075 T-6 directional billet aluminium hats, callipers, brackets, street performance pads and DOT-compliant stainless steel brake lines. All kits are a direct bolt-on replacement of the stock front system with little or no modification required to the chassis or suspension.

StopTech Balanced Brake Upgrades incorporating ST-60 callipers are ready for shipment to customers, with 21 Balanced Brake Upgrade part numbers covering 34 vehicle applications available now and four more currently in development. Owners of such premium and performance vehicles as the Audi S4, BMW 5 and 6 Series, Dodge SRT-8 , Nissan Skyline GT-R R34, Porsche 911 can benefit from this outstanding new development.

KW SUSPENSION
The highest quality materials are used to produce individual suspension solutions that enable customers to adjust vehicle height according to their wishes and needs. Within the TÜV-tested adjustment parameters, this can be easily achieved using the purple-coloured aluminium spring collars by adjusting the position of the yellow coated springs upwards or downwards via a specially designed exterior thread.

The stainless steel strut housings are employed, and are available in three different damping technologies. The complete systems including high-quality yellow springs, purple aluminium components and Elastomer bump stops with integrated dust protection system, provide a unique comprehensive solution for a personalized vehicle suspension system that meets all performance and quality demands.

KW offer Coil over suspension systems in the following options:

Variant 1:
The ideal system for customers wishing to rely on the experience of our engineers yet determine their own degree of lowering. In extensive driving tests our engineers have set the dampers for the best balance between sporty driving, comfort and safety.

Variant 2:
The system intended for the experienced driver who requires to not only determine the individual lowering of their vehicle, but adjust the damper setting to fine tune the system to their needs. The adjustable damper rebound settings allows adjustment of the pitch and roll behaviour of the vehicle, adapting it to one‘s own driving preferences.

Variant 3:
The new Variant 3 is state-of-the-art technology for the skilled and experienced driver. The separate and independent compression and rebound damping options allow a truly individual driving set-up. These unique systems with the 3 individually adjustable components, allows for adjustment of the compression of the damper in the low-speed range, while the high speed set-up, so decisive for driving comfort, has been preset by our engineers.

Street Comfort:
KW street comfort in stainless steel technology “inox-line” are developed especially for ambitious customers who demand comfort, safe driving quality but with discreet and individual lowering adjustment. The vehicle can be height adjusted from 5-45 mm on front and rear axle. All coil over kits are equipped with a shock absorber which can be adjusted in rebound damping for more comfort.

Clubsport:
Nürburgring Nordschleife is the most popular race track for using our KW Clubsport suspension kits. High performance sports cars, modified saloons as well as classical sport compact cars are tuned in weight, engine and wheels for their use on several race tracks.
These improvements are made for a better handling on track sport events, race taxi drives, visitor drives and equability tests particularly on the Nürburgring Nordschleife. Due to these modifications of the car some parameters are changing. Therefore, the road setups are
no longer ideal for the performance of the car. For this use we offer special clubsport kits which have been adapted to the changed requirements by changing spring and shock setup as well as the installation of racing top mounts.

H&R SPRING KIT
Every spring produced by H&R comes from the H&R ISO 9001 certified engineering and manufacturing facility in Germany. All H&R springs are produced from a special 54SiCr6 spring steel, which has strength rated at 290,000 psi resulting in unrivalled tensile strength and resiliency.

Each spring is then sent through the H&R exclusive “SuperBlok™” system, which cycles each spring to ensure that sagging will never occur. Combining high-quality materials with advanced designed tools and techniques makes the final H&R product lighter and more durable than other automotive coil springs.

At H&R product design and development is of the highest importance. All H&R springs are “cold” wound on specially designed CNC machinery and then time-tempered to re-align the molecular structure of the steel to ensure quality and durability.

All springs are shot-peened to increase the service life of each spring by more than 200%. Each spring is then sent through the H&R exclusive “SuperBlok™” system, which cycles each spring to ensure that sagging will never occur. Lastly, the H&R special powder coating process coats each spring with a flexible and durable finish that is highly resistant to corrosion, chips, and scratches. At H&R we care about quality – the whole production process, from start to finish, is done in-house to ensure the most consistent, highest quality product possible.
